Artful Framers visits Croydon College.
Artful Framers, along side Art Rebellion, visited Croydon College on the Monday the 14th of March 2016, to support their 'apprenticeship, progression and employability' week.
Both companies were invited to take part in the event, to give the students of Croydon College an insight to what Artful Framers/Art Rebellion do as successful companies. 21-year old Ryan Payne spoke on behalf of the companies, giving a speech to the students on his journey to becoming a young entrepreneur. He said, "My passion for Art started in school. Academically I wasn't the smarted kid in the classroom, but artistically, I excelled at whatever I put my mind too" he continued, "It just shows, that hard work and dedication pays off."
Ryan not only gave a speech to the students but set up a stall, allowing him to display his work, and interact with the students. He says he 'gave the best advice I could' in regards to answering their questions on starting up their own business's and looking through their portfolio's. "Knowing what managers are looking for in their future employee's portfolio's and CV's is crucial' he followed by saying 'we look at hundreds of portfolio's. The trick is not to play it safe. They have to stand out to be noticed!'
Ryan finished by saying "The best piece of advice I can give to young aspiring entrepreneurs is, If you find something you love! Stick to it! Hard work pays off! If you sacrifice what others wouldn't, eventually, you'll be able to live your life like most others can't."
